![]() Happy New Year! I hope you enjoyed your holidays and are ready for a fresh start in 2016. Reading is one of my favorite escapes. I am an introvert which means that I re-charge by spending time alone. Most of the time I do this by locking myself into a quiet room in my house with a good book. I've always loved to read and wish that I had more time to do it now. I enjoy using the Goodreads app to keep track of the books I've read over my lifetime, the books I've read this year, and the books I want to read. It's also a fun way to see what my friends and colleagues are reading. I managed to read 17 books in 2015 which was more than one a month on average. Being a wife, mom, and business owner limits my free time, so I thought that was a pretty good number! One of my goals for 2016 is to read 25 books. That's more than 2 per month. It will be a challenge! I love using my Kindle Paperwhite to read because it's light to hold and the battery lasts forever! Here are a few of my favorite books from 2015:For the Love: Fighting for Grace in a World of Impossible Standards by Jen Hatmaker What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty Columbine by Dave Cullen Books I'll be reading next...I've already picked out a few to read as I start out 2016. My focus these next few months will be on books that I know my clients would be interested in and that will better me as a therapist. I will be doing a full review on these books as soon as I finish them! The Other Side of Sadness by George A. Bonanno The Anxiety Cure by Dr. Archibald D. Hart Forgiving and Reconciling by Everett Worthington What books will you be reading in 2016? I would love to hear your recommendations!
