Life events, trauma, problems in intimate or family relationships, anxiety, depression, grief, physical pain, health concerns, issues with sex and intimacy, addictions, anger, and crisis can leave us feeling stuck, hopeless, and unable to move forward and experience positive change in our lives. Even though there are a lot of things in life that we can’t control, there are also many effective ways to address the challenges we face that are within our control.
It can be difficult to reach out for help because we often feel like we should be able to handle everything on our own, or that our problems aren’t significant enough to merit seeking outside support. I can help you identify your options, improve coping, change thoughts and behaviors that are not serving you, and heal emotional wounds. I provide non-judgmental support and current evidence-based therapies so that healing and change can happen even when that doesn’t seem possible. You don’t have to do it alone.
I have 20 years of experience in the counseling field, and truly enjoy the privilege of helping individuals get the support, information, and new tools they need to decrease emotional distress and experience life in a more enjoyable way.
The counseling process isn’t always easy, but one of my goals as therapist is to make sure that everyone I work with leave their sessions feeling supported, heard, and encouraged by the work they are doing to move forward.
